How dzjinius brought clarity and control to our multi-location broadcast operations
At De Buren, we coordinate operations across three regional broadcasters—ATV, TV Oost, and ROBTV. Our team spans multiple sites, departments, and shifts, with over 45 employees and dozens of freelancers. As we grew, managing planning, production, and resources across different locations became increasingly complex. We initially used Excel and earlier planning tools. They worked—to a point. But as our needs evolved, it became clear we needed something more scalable, flexible, and intelligent.
That’s when we turned to dzjinius.
At first, it was just a tool for producers. But I quickly recognized its potential and got involved in the rollout. I now coordinate and administrate our dzjinius environment, using it not only for planning but also for budget tracking, workload forecasting, and cross-site coordination.
Today, we use dzjinius to:
- Plan productions and assign resources
- Track budgets and monitor financials
- Coordinate staff across cities
- Communicate availability with freelancers
Its flexibility is key. Not everyone needs the same view, and dzjinius allows us to customize dashboards to individual needs. Some team members use my layout, others tailor their own.
Change wasn’t always easy. Shifting from Excel required training and time. I led onboarding with support from the dzjinius team—who understood our production environment and spoke our language. That personalized support made all the difference.
While we haven’t yet used all of dzjinius’s features, we see potential for deeper HR integration—tracking absences, approvals, and performance. We’re committed to getting even more out of the tool.
For producers and planners in media or entertainment, if you're juggling complexity across people, places, and production—dzjinius can absolutely change how you work. It did for us.
